Reviewed by Apple, approved, sitting in the App Store next to apps made by actual founders, startups, big ass companies. But then there's my app.

Back to how it started: my doctor told me I was a dry dude. Not casually. Clinically. I wrote about it here. The short version is that I needed to track my water intake, every app I tried annoyed me, and I have just enough curiosity to try to build my own.
So I did. "Track your water. Crush your goals." That's it. That's the app.
What it does
- Quick Add that's actually quick. One cup, two cups, four — one tap each. If logging water takes longer than drinking it, I've failed.
- A goal ring that celebrates you. Hit your ounces and it says GOAL CRUSHED, because it should. I'm a millennial, and I need satisfaction.
- Streaks. Four days of proper hydration feels weirdly triumphant. That's the point.
- A leaderboard. Yes, a hydration leaderboard. Create a group, share the invite code, talk shit. I'm currently #2 in my group as "H2Whoa Dave." I'm coming for you Aquaman.
The whole app is 2.6 MB. Your last burrito photo is bigger. It's free, no ads, no subscription.
Why this one matters to me
I work in marketing. I have launched things for other people my whole career. Campaigns, new food items, opened restaurants, loyalty programs, promotions for brands you have eaten at.
This is the first time something was mine.
Every screen, every decision, every "should the button go here or here" argument happened between me and me. Ok...I consulted with my closest group chat on this.
It is a small app. It is also the most honest thing I have ever put my name on.

P.S. Yes, the lightning bolt logo is a little dramatic for a hydration app. It's also now an official App Store icon, so Apple has co-signed the drama. Zing.
